Who is Ryan "Henry" Ward?
Meet the artist:
You may have seen his work associated with major companies like: Microsoft, Amazon, Seattle Sounders, the NFL, Snap Chat, Budweiser, The Sasquatch Festival, The Seattle Times, and more.
Ryan "Henry" Ward, Seattle’s most celebrated public artist, began his career as the anti-graffiti artist. Since 2007, Henry has painted murals on over 2,000 buildings, homes, vehicles, schools, and stadiums across the USA.
Born on a Montana farm, and raised in rural Washington, his path through grief, rebellion, and resilience fueled the cartoonish style that has become well-known in the Pacific Northwest.
His quirky creations, now gracing Microsoft and Amazon’s domains, sprinkle love and levity like confetti, turning urban gray into a whimsical wonderland. Free of graffiti’s disruptive nature, Henry’s public art is transformative, turning Seattle into an open-air gallery beyond the museums.
